Cistern

Cistern plays rock music like the best bands formed at the periphery: raw, scrappy, intuitive – a group of friends forging awe and anguish into song. Inspired by the indie rock of the 00’s, 90’s slowcore and 80’s post punk music, their sound balances their eclectic music tastes to create something uniquely their own. Drawing on multiple writers allows a wide variety of influences to penetrate their music, resulting in songs with non linear structures and drastic changes. Based in Squamish, BC, a relatively small and isolated town, the band operates with a strong DIY spirit, writing, recording and producing their own music and visuals.
