Ellevator

Hamilton, Ontario’s Ellevator pair lean hooks with sweeping crescendos, balancing the precision of guitar-driven indie rock with the emotional scale of post-rock. Frontwoman Nabi Sue Bersche leads with arresting, clear-eyed lyricism, drawing deeply personal reflections from larger themes of power, love and loss.

In 2022, Ellevator released their debut album, The Words You Spoke Still Move Me, via Arts & Crafts. Produced by Chris Walla, the record established the band’s warm yet mercurial sound, moving between intimacy and expansiveness with floating vocals, soaring guitars and deep synths. They followed the album with an expanded edition of live recordings, Do The Words I Spoke Still Move You? (Off The Floor Versions). In the years since, life has continued to evolve alongside the band, bringing new perspectives and experiences with it. Ellevator are now working on new music and looking toward their next chapter.
