MEGGO

MEGGO is a multidisciplinary musician who blends raw acoustic textures with modern digital manipulations, resulting in an immersive, world-building soundscape. MEGGO draws from the bluegrass and folk traditions of the Pacific mountains where she grew up, alongside the alternative-indie world of Montreal, where she is based. Her songs explore autonomy, power, fury, and the female imagination, weaving intimate lyricism with jagged sampling and beat-driven grooves, with a voice that’s been called reminiscent of Adrianne Lenker and Julien Baker. MEGGO creates a live experience that shifts between hushed folk intimacy and danceable, jazz-infused energy, offering a bold, genre-bending evolution of folk music. Check out her newest release eavesdropper ;; the crash (EP 2/3 of a conceptual trilogy) to meet this sonic mind-melt. The MEGGOverse has expanded to feature a band consisting of friends from Pastel Blank, Nora Kelly Band, FLEECE, Busty & the Bass and more, all buddies who spice up the mix with jovial talent and unique musical sauce.
